An ingenious soldier, General, and deeply humble man, General Robert E. Lee lead the Confederate Army against the Northern United States. Contrary to popular belief, this did not make him pro-slavery, and he displayed deep humility and devotion to a United States after his army's defeat. His traditional Confederate uniform is set against a vibrant blue backdrop to showcase his bravery, while also reinforcing the message that, perhaps the only positive of the war, was the arrival of a national conscious, where all the states identified as part of the United States.
